Love You A Latte, A New Coffee Shop, Opens In Greenwich
The family-owned coffee shop offers a variety of coffee drinks as well as treats and light bites in a cozy and comfortable setting.
GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich residents now have a new option when it comes to getting their coffee fix.
Love You A Latte, located at 160 Hamilton Ave., in Chickahominy, celebrated its grand opening earlier this week.
Owned by Robyn Bordes and her husband Michael, the coffee shop is part of the couple's restaurant group which includes Constantino's (Greenwich), and Pasta Bowls, which is slated to open next door to Love You A Latte within a month.

Guests can find a variety of coffee drinks, from regular coffees to espressos, cappuccinos, cold brew and of course, lattes.
Lattes can be served hot or iced, and include flavors such as caramel, mocha, chai, honey rose, lavender honey, strawberry & coconut, and Nutella, which is a best-seller, according to Bordes.

The frozen hot chocolate, an ode to New York City's Serendipity, a childhood favorite of Bordes', is also a crowd pleaser.
Coffee, which comes from Coffee Labs Roasters in Tarrytown, N.Y., can be purchased ground or whole bean to take home.
"Every time my husband and I travel, we'll always try different coffee shops until we find one we just love. We wanted to make sure we just had really awesome coffee, and we do," Bordes added.
What goes best with a good cup of coffee? How about some baked goods and light bites.
"We found a food distributor that brings in pastries and some of the best-tasting foods from bakeries in the Bronx and New York City. It was important to us that we didn't open up and just have the same food that everyone else has all around us," Bordes said.
There are croissants, muffins, bagels, overnight oats, homemade brownies and assorted donuts. Gluten-free and plant-based options are also available.
New items will be added to the menu.
"We're trying to pull in really great tasting, quality items," Bordes noted.
Additionally, the coffee shop is selling homemade bracelets from young girls in the community in an effort to support and encourage entrepreneurship.

Inside, there are around 12 seats to go along with a couple of chairs and tables outside.
"If somebody wants to come in and work for the day, they can sit on the couch. There's a place to put your laptop in front of your seat, and we offer free WiFi," Bordes said. "We wanted it to be a cozy, comfortable, welcoming place where people can come from the neighborhood and relax and enjoy a really good cup of coffee, a cappuccino or latte, and sit and enjoy."
Bordes, a current Westchester resident, started in the restaurant industry at the age of 13 as a bus girl for hot dog parties in an arcade.
She later worked at Villagio's in Hartsdale, N.Y. for over 10 years, and eventually bought the business. Sales increased and the menu improved before Bordes sold the restaurant to her business partner in February 2021.
Wanting to get back into the restaurant industry, Bordes opened Constantino's of Greenwich in 2022, a family-owned pizza and ice cream shop, at 699 W. Putnam Ave.
While Bordes was on her honeymoon in Greece two years ago, she was inspired by a unique pasta shop there.
The couple then found space at 160 Hamilton Ave., and Pasta Bowls was born. Guests will be able to choose their favorite pasta, sauce and toppings to create their perfect pasta dish.
In discussing with the building owners what could open next door as a compliment, Bordes asked if she could open a coffee shop, too, and the rest is history.
In the month Love You A Latte has been open, the reaction from the community has been amazing, according to Bordes.
"My husband and I joke that if we could open every single restaurant concept in our brain in Greenwich, it would make us so happy," she said. "When you have a community-based area that you open a business in or live in, it's such a different vibe. Greenwich is one of the most phenomenal areas we could have ever opened a business in. The neighborhood and people are so supportive, it's incredible."
The Bordeses hope to move to Greenwich in the future to be in the same community they serve.
First Selectman Fred Camillo said the coffee shop and pasta shop are great additions to the Chickahominy neighborhood, a section of town close to his heart since a lot of family members have lived there over the years.
"Any time a business opens in Greenwich, it's a moment for celebration and encouragement, especially in Chickahominy where we're starting to see lots of interest in a historical part of town," Camillo said. "To see the coffee shop and the pasta business that's going to be opening up right next door, it's exciting. It's part of a Chickahominy resurgence and it's good to see."
Love You A Latte is open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. When Pasta Bowls opens, hours will be extended so customers can come in for an evening beverage after dinner next door.
Online ordering for delivery and pickup is available.
