In Memoriam: Marilyn M. Corcoran
The long-time Greenwich resident passed away Jan. 28 at the age of 80.

Marilyn M. Corcoran, 80, passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2016.
She was born May 18, 1935 in Port Chester, NY to the late John and Gemma Macarell.

She is survived by her children Wendi A. Corcoran (Joyce), Shawn Corcoran (Stephen), and John Corcoran Jr. (Karen); grandchildren Dawn V. Zimmerman; Jennifer Zimmerman Birdsall, John T. Corcoran, and Michael A. Corcoran. She is also survived by her brother John D. Macarell of Pennsylvania and great-grandchildren Lia Ryan and Rina Nicole Nastahowski.
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband John A. Corcoran and her grandson Ryan Mathew Zimmerman.

Marilyn graduated from Port Chester High School in 1952. She married her husband “Jack” in 1955 who was her best friend and the love of her life.
Over the years, Marilyn worked part-time so that she could spend as much time as she could with her children and family. Besides her family and friends, Marilyn found joy in the antique business that she and Jack treasured dearly.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Rd. #3, Greenwich, on Sunday, January 31, from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 1, at 12 p.m. at St. Catherine Church, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich.
