In Memoriam: Mary Jarombek

Mary Jarombek, 96, a long-time resident of Cos Cob, died November 13, 2015 at The Nathaniel Witherell.

Born September 13, 1919 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Cecelia Forman.

She grew up in Port Chester, NY, and graduated from Port Chester High School.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Jarombek.

She is survived by her children, Jerry Jarombek and his wife Kathleen of Riverside; Janet Walters and her husband, John of Kerhonkson, NY; James Jarombek and his wife, Liza of Riverside; a brother, Chester Forman and his wife, Sally of Glenville; a sister, Cecelia Tortora and her husband, Michael of South Windsor, CT; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, John and a sister, Josephine.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother who enjoyed knitting and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23 at St Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
