In Memoriam: Richard T. 'Rick' Muldoon
The Greenwich resident passed away Feb. 4 at the age of 72.

Richard T. (Rick) Muldoon, 72, passed on Feb. 4, 2016 at Greenwich Hospital due to complications from COPD.
He was born in Port Chester Hospital and lived in Greenwich his whole life, where he attended Byram School and Greenwich High School.

He was predeceased by his parents, Irving and Elizabeth (Betty) Muldoon, and his first wife Nancy.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Patricia and his son, John of Greenwich, as well as his stepsons, Daniel Scheck of Fort Bragg, NC and Christopher Scheck and Amanda Brushnefski of Greenwich.

Rick is also survived by his sister, Doris Stempien, and niece Lynn Stempien (Timothy) and nephew Jeffrey Stempien (Mae) of Greenwich and by his brother, Robert Muldoon of Killingworth, and niece Lizbeth Gode (Christopher) of Clinton.
Rick worked as a press man for the Greenwich Time and Stamford Advocate and then owned and operated Rick’s Rod and Gun in Byram. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and put his love and knowledge of nature to use as a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator until his retirement in 2006. After retiring he dedicated himself to living one day at a time while being of service to his fellows.
He was a previous member of the Byram Boat Club and a former Commander of the Byram Veteran’s Association. His unique humor and unwavering dedication to friends and family will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 10, from 2 to 6 pm, at Castiglione’s Funeral Home, Inc., 544 Old Post Road #3, Greenwich. A reception will follow at the Byram Veteran’s Association, 300 Delavan Ave., Greenwich. Interment will be private.
