In Memoriam: Roberta Joan Nickerson

Roberta Joan Nickerson of Greenwich, died November 20, 2015 at age 81.

Born January 10, 1934 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of Patrick and Helen (Kelley) Martin.

Survived by her loving children Wendy Bush (husband Brian), Walter Nickerson, III, Robert Nickerson (wife Helen) and Michael Nickerson (wife Dina), cherished grandchildren Samantha, Heather, Connor, Caitlin, Liam, Aidan and Michael and a caring brother Peter Martin (wife Edie).

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter Nickerson, Jr. and siblings Patricia Zygman, Marylou Covino, Ginger Martin, Sandra Sherry and James Martin.

Roberta enjoyed traveling to Ireland and spending time on the Beach. She liked needle point and making Christmas stockings for all her grandchildren and her dear friends in Ireland.

Visitation Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St. in Greenwich. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church on Greenwich Avenue followed by an interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
