Metro-North Announces New Year's Week Rail Schedule
Whether you're commuting to work or traveling to celebrate the holiday, the railroad is providing extra service.
Metro-North Railroad has added extra trains in preparation for the New Year’s holiday.
For the heaviest travel times during New Year’s Week — Monday, Dec. 28 through Wednesday, Dec. 30, the railroad announced, We will provide longer and extra trains on all lines. See a regular timetable for details.”
On New Year’s Eve (Thursday, Dec. 31) the railroad will provide modified weekday morning and afternoon peak service. There will be an early afternoon getaway schedule with extra inbound late afternoon and early evening service. And for revelers, there will be “overnight” New Year’s morning service.
