'Music On The Great Lawn' Concert Series Returns To Greenwich Historical Society
The popular outdoor concert series features live performances on the Greenwich Historical Society's Great Lawn.
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Historical Society’s summer concert series, Music on the Great Lawn, will return soon for its sixth season, with concerts taking place every other Thursday through Sept. 4.
The series was originally slated to begin May 22, but the show was postponed due to inclement weather.
The popular outdoor event features live performances on the society’s Great Lawn in Cos Cob and is known for drawing crowds from across the area.

"We are delighted to welcome several new bands and performers with strong followings to our line-up this season," said Daniel Suozzo, the society’s director of special events, in a prepared statement.
"Joe Calzone’s Mad Dog Redux will bring memories of Joe Cocker’s mesmerizing performance at Woodstock; the Richie G Jazz instrumental group’s smooth jazz and R&B will include standards from George Benson, Stevie Wonder and Spyro Gyra; and powerhouse vocalist Michelle Pauker, who has performed for sold-out audiences in New York City and the region, will delight with her wide range of compositions from Jerome Kern to Joni Mitchell in her solo performance."

Concerts are held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with the lawn opening at 5:30 p.m. for picnicking.
Admission is free for Historical Society members and children, and $10 for non-members.
Membership benefits include free museum admission, event access, and store discounts.
New and renewing members at the Dual/Family level receive a complimentary canvas picnic tote while supplies last.
This season’s concert lineup includes:
- May 22: Richie G Jazz Band (postponed due to weather. New date to be announced)
- June 5: Joe Calzone’s Mad Dog Redux
- June 19: Billy and the Showmen
- July 10: Chasing Romeo
- July 24: Demolition Brass Band
- Aug. 6: Michelle Pauker
- Aug. 21: Gunsmoke
- Sept. 4: Sun Kings: A Beatle's Tribute
