NEBCO Insurance Makes Donation to Greenwich Boys and Girls Club

The donation will help support the after-school programs for local children.

NEBCO Insurance Services has donated more than $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich.

A check was presented to Club CEO Bobby Walker Jr. by Jennifer Confalone, NEBCO employee and BGCG Alum, Maryann Smith and Donna Gerard, principals from NEBCO.

The gift represents proceeds from a unique partnership between the high-net-worth personal insurance agency and the club. In the partnership, community members who want to support the Boys & Girls Club can place their personal insurance with NEBCO staff who then in turn make a donation to the Club.

Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich provides care and enrichment for children ages 6 to 18 during out-of-school time throughout the year. Programs for children are based on five core areas: Academic Success, Good Character & Leadership, Healthy Lifestyles, the Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. The Club has more than 1,800 members, 50 percent of whom qualify as low-income based on standards established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
