The Board of Selectmen has granted preliminary approval of designing a new school that would be located in the same footprint of the existing school. A new school is needed to resolve overcrowded conditions and to give the school district a means to close the student achievement gap.
The New Lebanon School Committee members include Selectman Drew Marzullo who said, ”I look forward to viewing for myself the architectural drawings of a brand new educational facility that Byram and beyond so deserves.”

Marzullo added,”Up until now concepts and only concepts have been discussed. I do hope though Tai Soo Kim heard our directive and presents a plan that is in compliance with the BOS MI. If not this runs the risk of yet another delay. I encourage people to attend Wednesday’s meeting.”
