A new dynamic pastor is coming to the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Heather Sinclair, most recently pastor of First UMC of Shelton, has moved into the parsonage together with husband Skip and their two young children. Rev. Sinclair has a passion for preaching, youth and children's ministries, teaching adults and leading mission trips for all ages.
A 2003 Yale Divinity School graduate, she has served churches in Avon, New Haven, Trumbull and Shelton. Currently, she is planning, along with church leaders, how First UMC can reach out in mission to the needs of the community.
Her first Sunday in the pulpit at 59 East Putnam Avenue, (that pretty white Carpenter Gothic church across from the YMCA) is July 7. The community is cordially invited to the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
