Board of Selectmen – Elected 2019, 2021 & 2023
Why are you seeking this office?
Over the past several years on the Board of Selectmen, I have worked hard to deliver results that matter to families, seniors, businesses, and newcomers alike. We have made strides to keep taxes affordable and predictable, while continuing to invest in the priorities that keep our community strong. I have supported improvements to our schools, advocated for pedestrian and traffic safety, and promoted a more thoughtful and long-term approach to capital projects. I am proud that Greenwich continues to be recognized as a premier community in which to live, work, raise a family, and retire.
But our work is not done. Greenwich faces real challenges that require steady leadership and careful decision-making. We must strike a balance between growth and preserving the character of our neighborhoods. We must ensure our schools remain excellent and that our town infrastructure is safe, reliable, and modern. We must continue to strengthen public safety and emergency response while also maintaining fiscal discipline. These are not small tasks, and they demand both experience and collaboration.
That is why I am running for another term. I want to continue building on the progress we have made, tackling challenges with honesty and practicality, and planning wisely for our future. My approach will remain the same: listen carefully, respect different perspectives, and work toward solutions that serve the best interests of our entire community.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is balancing affordability with maintaining the high quality of services and schools that make our town special. I intend to continue advocating for responsible budgeting, creative public-private partnerships, and long-term financial planning so that Greenwich remains a place where families and seniors can thrive.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I bring years of hands-on service across many levels of local government—RTM, the Board of Education, and now three terms on the Board of Selectmen. That means I don’t just know the issues, I know how to move them forward within our decentralized system of boards, commissions, and committees.
Another difference is my approach. I pride myself on being accessible and collaborative, listening to residents’ concerns and working across perspectives to find solutions. I don’t see this role as political theater—I see it as a responsibility to get things done for the people who live and work here.
Finally, I point to results. Together with my colleagues, I’ve helped deliver new schools, infrastructure improvements, better public safety measures, and responsible budgets that keep taxes stable while preserving the services and character that make Greenwich special. My record demonstrates not only my priorities, but my ability to deliver on them.
That combination of proven experience, collaborative leadership, and real results sets me apart.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Beyond the core issues already discussed, two priorities I intend to address during this campaign are our schools and traffic.
For our schools, I believe the most important thing I can do as Selectwoman is to work collaboratively with both the Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET) and the Board of Education (BOE). We need to ensure that budget discussions focus on what’s best for students, teachers, and families—without turning our schools into a political football. I’ve served on the BOE, so I understand firsthand the challenges of balancing rising costs with the need for strong educational outcomes and safe, modern facilities. My role will be to bridge those conversations and help find common ground so we can continue investing wisely in education.
The other issue I’ll highlight is traffic. Whether it’s improving pedestrian and bike safety, addressing congestion, or upgrading infrastructure, this is a quality-of-life issue that touches everyone. We’ve already made progress with new sidewalks, crosswalks, and ADA improvements, but there is more to do to keep residents safe and our town moving efficiently.
In short, I intend to keep working across boards to strengthen our schools while also tackling everyday challenges like traffic that affect residents’ lives directly.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I believe my record of accomplishments—both in public service and in my personal life—show that I am prepared to handle this job.
On a personal level, I’m proud of maintaining a strong marriage and raising two sons who are now productive adults. Those experiences shaped my values of responsibility, perseverance, and balance—qualities I bring to public service every day.
As a Selectwoman, one of the most critical tests of leadership came during the COVID-19 pandemic. I helped navigate the town through an unprecedented crisis, working with our departments and community partners to keep residents safe, informed, and connected, while ensuring town services continued to function.
At the same time, I’ve managed these responsibilities while holding a full-time job. That has given me a deep appreciation for the pressures many of our residents face, and it has strengthened my ability to prioritize, make decisions, and follow through.
Taken together—family, crisis leadership, and professional discipline—these experiences show that I not only understand the job, but I can handle its demands with steadiness and results.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
"It’s only what you give away that enriches you from day to day."
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I’m deeply grateful for the trust this community has placed in me, and I remain committed to serving with integrity, collaboration, and a focus on results that keep Greenwich strong
