Police: Thieves May Have Targeted 2 Western Greenwich Homes

Valuable electronics were reported missing from one home; someone tried to force open window in another.

Greenwich Police are investigating whether there’s any connection between a reported burglary and an attempted burglary in western Greenwich.

It was shortly after 7 a.m. Oct. 29 when residents of a Windy Knolls Drive home reported that “several highly portable and highly valuable items were taken from the home,” according to police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray. The missing items were expensive electronics, Gray said.

Later in the day, a resident of Byram Terrace Drive reported someone tried to break into their home. Police found that “a window was damaged, consistent with someone trying to break in,” Gray said. That incident was reported about 1:10 p.m.
