Potential Blumenthal Challenger Bows Out
Television commentator decides not to run against the incumbent U.S. Senator from Greenwich.

The field of potential challengers who want to take up the Republican charge against incumbent Greenwich Democratic U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal reportedly has shrunk.
CNBC financial commentator Larry Kudlow of Redding announced on live television Tuesday that he will not run for Senate this year, according to The Courant.
Kudlow told the newspaper that “I love being a broadcaster” and that he wants to be able to continue hosting his national television program on CNBC and his weekly nationally syndicated radio show that on WABC.
Back in December National Review Publisher Jack Fowler, of Milford, announced the formation of Jobs for Connecticut, a 527 organization designed to test-the-waters for what Fowler said he had hoped would become a campaign for Kudlow.
Blumenthal is expected to seek a second term to the Senate. Potential Republican challengers include are 1984 Olympic shot-putter August Wolf of Stamford and Joe Visconti, a former gubernatorial candidate.
