Pulitzer Prize-Winning Presidential Historian To Speak In Greenwich

GREENWICH, CT — Presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham will appear in Greenwich on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of reflection and conversation.

Meacham will speak at Christ Church Greenwich in an event titled "The Soul of America: God, History, and the Way We Live Now." Tickets are on sale now.

Meacham, a contributing writer for The New York Times Book Review and contributing editor at Time, is a distinguished visiting professor at Vanderbilt University.

He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Society of American Historians, and serves as a trustee for the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and several schools.

A person of faith, he has served on the vestries of St. Thomas Church Fifth Avenue and Trinity Church Wall Street.

Earlier in his career, Meacham held leadership roles at Random House and Newsweek and was on staff at The Washington Monthly and The Chattanooga Times.

His books include "American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House," "Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power," and "American Gospel: God, The Founding Fathers, and the Making of a Nation."

His most recent work, "His Truth Is Marching On: John Lewis and the Power of Hope," examines the legacy of civil rights leader John Lewis.
