Peter Fitzgerald Duncan, 65, died April 27, 2025; a Boston University graduate who worked in finance, banking, and insurance, he was an all-state athlete at Greenwich High School and devoted his time to Catholic parish life, daily Mass, and observance of the Divine Mercy Hour.

John Robert Conte Jr., 65, died April 22, 2025; a licensed arborist, landscape architect, and owner of Fairfield House & Garden Co. and Conte & Conte, he was devoted to tree preservation, landscape design, community service, and outdoor pursuits including boating, Christmas train displays, and gathering around his handcrafted fireplace.

Mariarosa Pennella, 93, died April 22, 2025; a retired Greenwich Hospital worker and lifelong homemaker, she was devoted to her husband and enjoyed breadmaking, pasta making, knitting, crocheting, and family life.

Agostino Donato Sinisi, 78, died April 20, 2025; a former police officer in Italy and proprietor of a landscaping business, he was an avid accordion player active in musical clubs and a devoted soccer fan.

Frances Sofia, 97, died April 18, 2025; a hospital mental health professional, salon co-owner, catechist, and Bible study leader, she spent her life in service, prayer, teaching, and spiritual study.

Sheila R. Bologna, 90, died April 16, 2025; a former sixth-grade teacher and longtime receptionist and bookkeeper for her husband's optometric practice, she enjoyed gardening—especially roses—celebrating her Irish heritage, and traveling to Ireland and Italy.

Ralph Mirarchi, 81, died April 11, 2025; a fashion technical designer educated at the Fashion Institute, he worked for NYC fashion houses, played piano and guitar at events, and enjoyed gardening, boating, and travel to Italy and Paris.

James Smeriglio, 98, died March 29, 2025; a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and longtime hairstylist, he was an avid reader, cook, outdoorsman who enjoyed clamming and fishing at Tod’s Point, a member of the Cos Cob Rifle and Revolver Club, and a church reader.
