Road Closures, Heavy Traffic Expected For Greenwich Town Party Parade Today

The parade is scheduled to begin 5:15 p.m. Police are warning residents about heavy traffic and road closures.

GREENWICH, CT — The first Greenwich Town Party Parade will step-off at 5:15 p.m., and police are advising residents to expect heavy traffic in the area of Greenwich Avenue for a couple hours.

Road closures will begin at 4:30 p.m. The parade will begin at the Amogerone parking lot and proceed up to the Amogerone Crossway and onto Greenwich Avenue. From there, the procession will head down to Grigg Street, Arch Street and ultimately onto Bolling Place.

A post-parade party will be held in the park at Havemeyer Field from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with live music, food and beverages from several food trucks.

The event is free and open to the public. The annual Greenwich Town Party event will take place on May 27 in Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.
