Several Roads Closed In Greenwich Due To Storm: Police

Police have announced a list of road closures around Greenwich.

GREENWICH, CT — There are several areas in town closed due to trees, wires, or water on the roadway, the Greenwich Police Department announced Monday morning.

For a full list of road closures, click here. Police will be updating the list throughout the day (last updated 1 p.m.)

The forecast calls for rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 10 a.m., then rain between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall, the National Weather Service said. Winds could gust as high as 48 mph.

The Eversource power outage map showed 1,274 customers without power in Greenwich as of 7:15 a.m. Greenwich Public Schools is operating under a two-hour delayed opening.

Cos Cob School is currently without power, Deputy Chief Mark Zuccerella of the GPD said.
