Sound Beach Community Band Concert Upcoming In Greenwich

First Selectman Fred Camillo will serve as a guest conductor.

GREENWICH, CT — The Sound Beach Community Band will perform its next concert on July 27, and First Selectman Fred Camillo will serve as a guest conductor.

The free concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Binney Park.

"I had a lot of fun being guest conductor for them last year and they have invited me to come back so hopefully I will not spoil the performance by this beloved local band," Camillo said in his weekly newsletter to the community on Friday.

The theme of the concert is "Meet the Muppets: The World of Jim Henson," and it will serve as a tribute to Henson, the creator of The Muppets, who once lived in Greenwich.

The concert will include music arranged by assistant conductor and trombonist Lisa Romeo, according to Camillo.
