State Honors Several Greenwich Schools For Academic Excellence
The Connecticut State Department of Education recently released its "Schools of Distinction" designations for the 2024-2025 school year.
GREENWICH, CT — The Connecticut State Department of Education recently released its "Schools of Distinction" designations for the 2024-2025 school year, and Greenwich Public Schools is well-represented.
Ten schools were recognized by the CSDE as Schools of Distinction - the most under the current standards in a single year, according to GPS.
In 2024–25, 140 schools overall earned this recognition.

"Each year, these schools are recognized as schools of distinction for excelling academically, closing achievement gaps, and creating supportive environments where every student can thrive," according to a recent news release from the CSDE.

- Hamilton Avenue School: High Performance and High Growth (All Students) - ELA & Math; High Growth (High Needs Students) - ELA & Math
