UPDATE: Details on Increased Police Presence at Greenwich HS
After an on-line comment was made, 'an abundance of caution' prompted increased police patrols.

Update: 9:21 a.m.
Greenwich Police say an on-line comment that “may be interpreted as a threat” prompted the increased police presence at Greenwich High School on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray wrote in an email, “The Greenwich Police Department has an increased presence at Greenwich HS out of an abundance of caution in response to security concerns expressed by the school. Last night the school received an anonymous on-line comment that was non-specific and may be interpreted as a threat. We are comfortable that the school is safe and secure and it is our understanding that the normal routine of the school will be followed.”

An “anonymous threat” directed at Greenwich High School has prompted an increased presence of Greenwich Police at the Hillside Road campus Tuesday.
In an email sent to staff Tuesday morning, Headmaster Chris Winters said, “Last night, we received an anonymous threat. We have coordinated with GPD to have several additional police officers present in and around the building. Please inform an administrator immediately if you have any suspicion of someone. If there has been a change of behavior, comments that have you a little nervous, something you have heard from other students, please let us know.”
Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray said, “At the school’s request, we made some adjustments to our normal patrols.” He would not elaborate.
