UPDATED: TRAFFIC ALERT: Truck Hits Parkway Overpass on Greenwich/Rye Border

Expect delays — One lane is closed on the Hutch.

The truck reportedly was pulling a flatbed trailer that was loaded with a large piece of construction machinery when it struck the King Street overpass on the Greenwich — Rye border mid-morning Friday, according to lohud.com.

No injuries were reported.

A flatbed tractor trailer struck the King Street overpass Friday morning, shutting down one lane of the Hutchinson River Parkway on the Greenwich — Port Chester border.

The crash occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. and the truck remains wedged beneath the King Street/Route 120A overpass, according to WCBS Radio 880.

The northbound right lane is blocked and traffic is backed up to at least Exit 28/Lincoln Avenue on the parkway where trucks are prohibited.

To avoid delays, drivers may want to use I-95 or Route 1.
