City Of Groton May Install Speeding Cameras: Report
The City of Groton would install speeding cameras to improve traffic safety, according to a report.
GROTON, CT — The City of Groton is considering adding speed enforcement cameras, according to The Day of New London. Police officials said the move is intended to reduce the rate of accidents and alter driver behavior.
Any potential ordinance would have to be approved by the state Department of Transportation before it could enacted.
The city would also have to collect data about traffic conditions to determine which roads would be eligible for cameras.
