Daily Five: Seat Belt Crackdown And A Website For Veterans
Five Things To Know Friday, Nov. 11.

1. Today is Friday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day. The National Weather Service predicts cloudy skies this morning, then gradual clearing and a high temperature of 50 degrees. It'll be blustery, with a west wind of 18 to 26 mph and gusts as high as 37 mph. The low will fall to 36 tonight.

"I've got a long way to go, but I want to know what's going to happen for them," she said. "I'd like to see West Side kept open. I went here, and I'd like my kids to go here." The next discussion session is at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 at Cutler Middle School.
3. Groton Town Police will be cracking down on motorists who fail to wear seat belts in the coming weeks. The “Click it or Ticket” campaign runs from Nov. 14 to Nov. 27, and police will ticket drivers who are unbuckled or talking on a cell phone without a hands free device. Officers will also focus on other distracted motorists such as those texting while driving. The fine for not wearing a seat belt is $92.
