
1. Today is Tuesday, Nov. 29. The National Weather Service forecasts cloudy skies, a high temperature of 62 and a chance of showers, mainly after 5 p.m. The low will drop to 52 tonight.
2. The Board of Education approved a three-year contract for school administrators Monday that includes raises of zero percent the first year, 1 percent the second year and 2 percent the third. Administrators will have higher co-payments for medical care and prescriptions and will contribute 19 percent toward benefits the first year, 20 percent the second year and 21 percent the third year. They will also be required to work two additional days per year by the end of the contract.
3. The School Board also approved a change to the contract for paraprofessionals that deals with part-time staff previously not covered by the agreement. The change raises their pay from $10.28 per hour to $10.69 per hour and gives the employees three sick days next year. The pay raise will be effective Jan. 1.

4. The Groton Senior Center was recognized by the Connecticut Parks and Recreation Association with its facilities award. The award considers factors like building use and creativity in development.
5. There's a scrapbooking club for teens at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Groton Public Library if you're looking for something for your teenager. The club meets once a month and it's free. You bring the photos; the library supplies paper.
