GROTON, CT — A "disturbance" between players from both teams was reported at a high school football game between Fitch and Norwich Free Academy, according to police.

The game occurred Friday after being postponed Thursday due to security concerns. Social media posts led officials from both schools and Groton police to delay the game.

Friday's game occurred under stricter security measures.

The reported disturbance Friday, which was "quickly disbursed," was between the field house and concession stand at the end of the game at 6:40 p.m., according to police.

No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.

The incident remains under investigation. Police and Board of Education staff are working to identify those involved.
