First Lady Jill Biden Visits Groton Thursday
First Lady Jill Biden will arrive in Groton on Thursday evening and head to the Submarine Force Museum.
GROTON, CT — First Lady Jill Biden will visit Groton on Thursday evening, NBC CT reported. She will arrive at Groton-New London Airfield at 7 p.m. after spending the day in Chicago.
She will join military families for a holiday gathering at the Submarine Force Museum in Groton at 7:30 p.m., according to NBC CT.
Biden is meeting with USS Delaware crew and families as part of her Joining Forces initiative, FOX 61 reported. The event is not open to the public.

Joining Forces is "a White House initiative to support military families, which includes: families of service members and veterans, caregivers and survivors," according to the White House website.
Biden previously visited Groton in December 2021 and Meriden in March 2021.
