Groton’s Bishop Seabury Church Will Appeal To U.S. Supreme Court
Church to be evicted Jan. 4, newspaper reports.

The 135-year-old parish at Bishop Seabury Church in North Road is under court order to leave by Jan. 4, the newspaper said.
The Day said the diocesan bishop, the Rt. Rev. Ian T. Douglas, is trying to prevent this and wants to meet with church leaders on Jan. 12 to come up with a solution so that the parish could remain part of the Episcopal Church. But the congregation has voted not to rejoin the Episcopal Church, and wants to appeal the ruling of the state Supreme court, the newspaper said.
