Stolen Cards Used to Buy Cigarettes at Groton Store: Police

Groton Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly used a stolen card at the Groton Henny Penny.

On Jan. 11 at approximately 5:46 p.m., four men entered the Henny Penny Convenience Store, located on Route 12 in Groton.

“Conducting multiple transactions, one of the males purchased several packs of cigarettes using a stolen/fraudulent credit cards,” the Town of Groton Police Department wrote via Facebook. “The transactions were observed by several patrons who had to wait.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Snyder at 860-441-6712 and reference case number 16-98-OF. Information may also be provided to police by submitting an anonymous tip.
