Voodoo Grill Burgled After Taste of Mystic

The Voodoo Grill was burgled last weekend and people are saying that those responsible must have known the restaurant well. 

One more people broke into the Factory Square restaurant on Water Street through a window that is not hooked up to the alarm system, found the safe and stole the contents, according to a report in The Day. 

Factory Square maintenance supervisor and resident Steven DeMartino told reporters at The Day that the bar closed around 3:30 a.m. Saturday and that he heard “a loud bang” around 4 a.m. 

The burglar(s) made off with thousands of dollars owner Wes Clark collected after the Taste of Mystic. 

Groton police Lt. John Varone is investigating the incident.
