The clothing retailer will move into a 24,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Ocean State Job Lots and a few inline tenants, The Connecticut Scoop reported. T.J. Maxx's other location in Groton at 670 Long Hill Road is anticipated to close when the new location opens.
The Groton Shoppers Mart, anchored by a Big Y, was sold for $15.1 million in November. The four-building, 171,858-square-foot shopping center was slated for "substantial improvements," according to reports at the time.
