The town's fourth graders and members of the Guilford Keeping Society gathered to celebrate Early Guilford Days on a sunny Friday afternoon.
At the 1774 Thomas Griswold House on Boston Street in Guilford, you could see the young ladies and gentlemen, along with their teachers, dressed in period clothing. The fourth graders learned about weaving and stencil cutting, along with other skills, and they learned about why it was important to learn about the past and preserve that knowledge for the future.
Check out our video of Guilford Keeping Society Winnie Seibert explaining the importance of weaving, and a student explaining their art project.
And that's Guilford Selectman Cynthia Cartier and her husband Rich at the end of the video serving cookies and lemonade to the fourth graders.
