American Idol 2015 Winner's Father Speaks Out About Son and Career

Nick Fradiani, Sr., father of the season 2015 American Idol winner, tells the Guilford Courier’s Jack Kramer about how his son’s victory has also helped get his own career back on track.

Fradiani, Sr., told the Courier he has been playing a lot more gigs recently. He has performed in the past at Atlantic City, Las Vegas, on cruise ships and in local music venues.

Despite both of their careers spiking, both father and son have not been able to see each other or communicate as much as they’d like because of their respectively busy schedules, the Courier reported. Fradiani, Sr. said the two text a lot, but with Fradiani, Jr. in Nashville connecting between the two is difficult.

Fradiani, Sr. told the Courier that his son’s American Idol experience has made them both realize the strength of their father-son relationship, and that it’s been inspiring to both of them.

In an open letter to the Guilford community from the Fradiani family, they wrote, “On behalf of our son, Nick Fradiani and the entire Fradiani family, we would like to extend our deepest appreciation for the outpouring of support we received during Nick’s recent American Idol journey.”
