AT&T Contributes Generously to Guilford's Women and Family Life Center
Women and Family Life Center kicks off recruitment efforts for its 2013 peer mentoring program, Girls Coach Girls Run thanks to a major contribution by AT&T

Recently, AT&T contributed $10,000 to the Women and Family Life Center in support of their four year running peer mentoring program, Girls Coach Girls Run (GCGR). The successful program for teen girls promotes "leadership, self-respect, community involvement, and healthy living for girls as part of a 3-tier peer mentoring program," according to the press release.
“We could not provide this terrific leadership development program, which fosters healthy living and community involvement, without the kind of critical financial commitment AT&T has made to GCGR," Executive Director Peggy Britt said in a press release. "We are so grateful for their support.”

Thanks to this contribution, Women and Family Life Center has began their recruitment efforts for their 2013 program season. They will be recruiting girls from Madison and Guilford in the 10th and 11th grade to be trained as head coaches. The training sessions will begin January 10th, 2013.
The center is also looking for 8th and 9th grade girls for assistant coaching. They are also seeking fourth grade girls to participate in the program. That program will begin in April of next year. Running experience is not a requirement to join the program.
