At 7 PM tonight at the llibrary, Pat Lovelace, Museum Curator at the Guilford Keeping Society, will present Donald Armistead's creation of a miniature Colonial-era village. Pat will bring two of the buildings with her for attendees to see, as well as pictures of the other buildings of the village.
The entire village is built to scale, and the detail is absolutely fascinating. Armistead actually learned each of the trades that are featured in the buildings including blacksmithing, basket weaving, carpentry and more. This lends true authenticity and accuracy to the work.
