Downpour Causes Guilford Police to Close Down Town Road
Thursday's rainstory caused havoc on some town roads and it forced police to shut off one in particular to prevent further damage.
GUILFORD, CT - Thursday's powerful rainstorm caused some headaches for the Guilford police as certain roads became impassable.
On the police Facebook page the following was just posted:
"Sometimes Mother Nature laughs at us.

"Today is one of those days.
"And in this case, she ganged up on us with Poseidon.

"The cement blocks were no match for the power of the ocean.
"So consequently, Falcon Road will be closed at the tennis courts until further notice.
