Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Michael is the Executive Director and Karen does accounts payable at the nonprofit organization, Domus Kids in Stamford. Domus Kids serves more than 1,700 of the community's most struggling youth. Young people come to them with many challenges; most are living in abject poverty, have had involvement in the criminal justice system, and have experienced homelessness, neglect, abuse, academic failure, and chronic untreated healthcare issues. During this time, Domus Kids has given out meals and other resources to the community. They have also repurposed their former group home for EMS. In addition to their jobs, they have foundation honoring their daughter that passed away in 2010. The foundation has supported local businesses and families in our community. They have also provided lunch for employees at Yale.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Married for over 30 years and their motto is- "Kindness doesn't cost a thing, sprinkle that stuff everywhere"
