70-Year-Old Man Dies After Falling Off Ladder Monday in Guilford

GUILFORD, CT - A 70-year-old man died Monday after falling off a ladder while doing home repairs at a residence near Lovers Lane in Guilford.

Guilford police said that at approximately 1 p.m. police and fire were dispatched to a residence in the Lovers Lane area of town for the reported fall victim.

The man, who authorities won't identify until next of kin are located, had fallen and sustained injuries to his head and back.

Emergency treatment was provided by Guilford Fire and the male was transported to the hospital for further care. A short time later, the Guilford Police were notified that the male had succumbed to his injuries.
