On Friday, June 14, the Exponential Ensemble - a woodwind group that combines music and math - will put on a show at 7:30 p.m. in the Guilford Community Center.
The Exponential Ensemble, which is based of New York City, uses math to make music, according to the ensemble's website. The group aims to give music and math lessons to students in a fun environment, along with putting on concerts, according to the website.
The event is being sponsored by the Guilford High School Music Department and the Candlewood Farm Arts Foundation, according to Shore Publishing. Just before the concert, the group will give high school students workshops, with the focus on showing that music and math have a lot in common, according to Shore Publishing.
