Guilford Cops Collect For Unpaid Federal Workers at Headquarters

GUILFORD, CT - The Guilford Police Department wants the public to know that the police station is being used as a drop off location for those who want to help federal workers who are not being paid during the ongoing government shutdown,

On their Facebook page, the police say:

"The Guilford Police Department is a drop off location for items donated for furloughed workers. We have added a collection bin for pet food and supplies because we know their fur babies need supplies too.

"Food items can be dropped in the bins in the front lobby and cash and gift cards will be collected at dispatch to be delivered to those in need. We know this is a difficult time for many who were not anticipating this type of hardship. The Guilford Community is strong and caring and we know that the donations will make the lives of those in need much easier.
