Guilford Hazard Mitigation Commission Wants Your Input

The commission's next meeting on July 21 invites all from coastal and upland associations to individual residents with local issues.

Guilford’s Hazard Mitigation Commission welcomes any and all input regarding local issues for the mandatory five-year update to the existing Hazard Mitigation Plan, according to the New Haven Register.

Some topics of discussion include individuals and private community seawalls, periodic flooding of streets and other possible hazards that don’t involve town property or utilities, the Register reports.

Those interested in discussing their ideas and concerns with the commission, or those who wish to become more educated about the committee and the purpose of its presence in Guilford, can attend the public forum, which is part of the commission’s agenda at every meeting on the third Tuesday of the month.
