Guilford Hockey Teams to hold Annual Fundraiser Dec. 29th

Just before we ring in the new year, the Guilford Girls and Boys' hockey teams will play each other for a good cause

Every year for the past five years, Guilford's Girls and Boys' hockey teams hold an annual fundraiser in which they take on each other on the ice for fun, in a noncontact game. Every year, the teams select a charity of a person who is in need, and raise money for their cause. The game will take place December 29th, from 6:30- 7:30 at the East Haven Rink on Hudson Street in East Haven.

This year, in an effort to give back to the community, the teams selected the Fuel Fund and The Guilford Food Bank as recepients of the fundraising. Over the years, the teams have played for scholarship funds for two High School students who passed, the Julie Greim Shoreline Sharks Scholarship, and teachers and students who were battling cancer.
