Tibere had this same plea offer on the table from Superior Court Judge Gary White almost a year, which would have carried a five-year prison sentence. He has struggled with other mental health issues throughout his life, had rejected a plea deal in the past.
The criminal mischief and violation of condition of release charges stem from Tibere allegedly cutting off a GPS tracking device from his ankle and trying to run away while he was free on bond. He was apprehended a short distance from his Guilford home, and was incarcerated.
