Guilford Police Report Sharp Increase in Accidents Involving Deer

GUILFORD, CT - Guilford police they've seen an increase recently in the number of car accidents involving the striking of deers.

Police had this to say about the increase on their Facebook page:

"Watch for deer Guilford. We have had an increase in deer related accidents in the past 2 weeks.

“Remember dusk and dawn are peak deer strike times. It is the deer rut and deer romance doesn’t stop for traffic.

"Use your high beams when you can and continually scan the edges of the road for their reflective eyes.

"Where there is one.... there are more.... guaranteed.

"Deer alert whistles work... they are worth the $6.

"Thanks for sharing and watch for deer."
