The last big rain event we had in Guilford, there were numerous water rescues from vehicles in flooded roadways. Don’t attempt it. Let us know if there are flooded roadways so we can block them off.

Just a few inches of water across the road can cause your vehicle to hydroplane, 6 inches of rushing water can knock a person down, and just 2 feet of water can cause a vehicle to float away.
Our usual places on RT 146 will be flooded especially at high tide.... avoid those areas.

The docks will be flooded.... avoid that area.

The winds will be rather strong today, increasing chances of trees down and power interruptions. If you come across power lines down, call 911 and treat them as live wires. Do not attempt to drive over them or around them. Find alternative routes please.

Mother Nature is moody today, don’t challenge her.We will update any road closures on FB as the occur.
