“They are the new trend in today's youth. If you ask any kid in high school or middle school, they can tell you what a Juul is.

“But what if they don't want to tell you?

“That's ok...

“We will. (sorry kids) #sorrynotsorry

“Pictured here is a Juul (ie. trendy e-cigarette) and the flavor "pods" that go with it (which can contain as much nicotine as a pack of cigarettes in 200 puffs). Looks just like a flash drive.... even plugs into your laptop to charge. Fits discreetly into the palm of your hand and emits a very small amount of vapor unlike traditional e-cigarettes.

“But more and more, this product, which has large quantities of nicotine in the flavor pods, is finding it's way into the under 18 crowd. It is marketed towards 18 to 24-year-olds but with flavors like cotton candy and mango, it becomes appealing to youth.

“What are we hearing from kids? They are buying them online, they are buying them from friends, they are buying them at school, and they are buying them at local stores. (even without an ID)

“But most importantly, we are hearing that their parents have no idea what Juuls are. Based on the design, parents and teachers believe their kids have a flash drive that they may need for school.

“It is diabolical marketing genius really.... but bad news for parents, schools, and kids getting addicted to nicotine.

“The point of this post is to let parents know this is out there and what to look for. We know that raising healthy kids the toughest job in the world, but also the most rewarding job. It takes a village and we are here if you need us.

“We have attached a Time article that goes into more depth regarding Juuls and the potential dangers they pose towards our youth. (again, sorry kids but we really have your best interests in mind)
