Guilford to Hold Public Forum on School and Public Safety
Tomorrow, December 20th, the town of Guilford will hold an open forum to discuss the Newtown tragedy and its impact on our community and schools. Community leaders will also field questions and comments from residents.

In the wake of the Newtown Tragedy, the town of Guilford will hold a public forum on School and Public Safety Thursday, December 20th. The forum will be held at 7 PM at the Guilford High School Auditorium.
The focus of the forum will be to discuss the Newtown tragedy and its impact on our community and schools. Community leaders including Superintendent Paul Freeman, First Selectman Joe Mazza and Police Chief Terribile and others will be present to address the audience, listen to concerns and field questions and comments. They will also provide an overview of school and public safety and review emergency procedures.

The town has already taken additional precautions this week to ensure all security measures are in place. "We have already put in place a higher police presence at the schools this week," said Joe Mazza. Community leaders continue to communicate and examine safety procedures, and this meeting will offer an opportunity for residents to ask questions and raise concerns they may have in the wake of this tragic event in our state.
