Guilford’s Donovan Named Area’s Best High School Softball Player

This month, the New Haven Register named Astin Donovan of Guilford the area’s best high school softball player.

Donovan lives in Guilford but attends Middletown’s Mercy High School, a Catholic school. This year, she batted .491 with 37 runs scored and 33 RBIs, according to the Register.

Donovan, a shortstop, has one more year at Mercy High School but has already committed to play college softball at South Florida University, according to the newspaper. To read more about Donovan, click here.
