Hurricane Sandy Alert: Voluntary Evacuations Anticipated in Parts of Guilford
As Hurricane Sandy approaches, First Selectman Joseph Mazza says residents living south of the railroad in Guilford should anticipate, at minimum, a voluntary evacuation Sunday afternoon

After a late night Emergency Management Team meeting, First Selectman Mazza told Guilford Patch that "Residents South of the Railroad Tracks in Guilford should anticipate a voluntary evacuation at a minimum."
"Our team will reconvene for another meeting late Sunday morning and will have more details at that time," he continued.
"In the case of any type of evacuation, we will try to give residents enough warning so they can mobilize in the daylight," Mazza continued. "If any resident needs immediate information they can call the Guilford Dispatch Center. I encourage residents to check our town website for updates."
