Latest Employee Recognition Award Honoree Announced By Town Of Guilford
The Employee Recognition Award program was initiated by First Selectman Matt Hoey to encourage peer nominations for exceptional performance.

GUILFORD, CT — Human Resources Coordinator Samantha Meder has been named a recipient of the Guilford Employee Recognition Award, following multiple nominations from colleagues and selection by the town’s Employee Recognition Awards Committee.
Meder was commended by coworkers for her dedication, teamwork and advocacy on behalf of fellow employees.
"Sam is always willing to help other departments in a time of need," said Darlene Minore, manager of purchasing and accounting, in an announcement. Minore noted that Meder has assisted the Selectmen’s and Tax Collector’s offices.

Minore said Meder is "a big advocate for all employees, whether it be concerning salaries, benefits, or just lending an ear," adding that Meder goes above and beyond in organizing events such as the Benefit Fair, Holiday Lunch and the Employee Luncheon.
Information Technology System Engineer Jeremy Orton and Accounts Receivable Coordinator Lisa Saez also praised Meder for her efforts to ensure all employees feel included during workplace gatherings. Orton said he personally appreciated her kindness.

Meder previously worked at the Guilford Free Library from 2011 through 2017 and has served in her current role with the town of Guilford for nearly two years.
She received an Employee Recognition Award certificate and a gift card from First Selectman Matt Hoey in acknowledgment of her contributions.
