"Hello. I would like to introduce myself. For those who do not know me, I am a Guilford resident interested in organizing a peaceful march in the town of Guilford, CT on March 24th . This march will be a part of the Take Action to End Gun Violence March taking place that day across the nation.

"Our goal is to organize a local March for Gun Control Legislation that will allow area citizens to participate locally and have their voices heard. There are many people who might not be compelled to travel to New Haven, Hartford, or NYC to march in support but who would participate as part of a unified local event in support of the national gun control movement. I would like to begin getting the word out and inviting all those interested from Branford, Madison, Clinton and Killingworth and any other local communities to come stand and march with us in Guilford that day.

"I left messages with the First Selectmen’s offices in Guilford, Branford, and Madison and have left similar messages with the offices of Rosa DeLauro, Chris Murphy, and Richard Blumenthal. I am hoping to hear back within the next few days from all of those offices.

"I would like to hear from anyone interested in working with us to organize this event. Any and all suggestions and offers for assistance are welcome.

"Thank you in advance for your interest, support and participation."
